Raw and unfiltered, I lay my flaws in front of you. You may see the imperfections in what is me. Insecurities, doubts and fears have stripped me of the love that should fill this heart. Piece by piece, I've rebuilt the structure of my being, watering my roots in hopes to gain back my luster. This is my truth, will you still stand along side me?
Above is a poem I wrote, while in the midst of embarking on a new love journey. I have stepped out of my comfort zone and have put my foot in the door of online dating. I've been single for the last 9 years and I must say, I think I am ready and healed to receive love. Why now you may ask? The last 9 years have brought the true meaning of experience, from countless situationships to me falling in love with someone who would later have a deeper meaning in my life. The journey was meant to follow this road of bumps and uphills. The lessons that came out of it all remains true, I sought out a love that could only be found from within. I am grateful for all that I took from each moment. My intention is to one day meet someone who will let me lay my flaws in front of them and understand where I came from to where I am now. Love is such a beautiful thing once understanding is front and center. Have you ever experienced a love that allowed you to be all that you are no matter what? I'll continue to update you on the love that crosses my path in the coming months.
With Love, K
